The Accommodation

The Retreat is based in the homestead at Falcons Rise which is a modern home built in a European farmhouse style with stunning views over the Marlborough vineyards and surrounding mountains. There is a large covered verandah and plenty of outdoor seating from which you may enjoy the outlook.

The Rooms

At Falcons Rise there are four ensuite rooms all with an individual theme

The Alpaca Room

This is a downstairs room with a queen size bed which gets all the afternoon sun. It has doors opening out to a small patio area and has views of the vineyards and Richmond Ranges.

The Woodland Room

This is a downstairs room with a king bed and views over the Wairau plains. It has doors opening out to a small patio and gets all day sun.

The Fernery

This is an upstairs room with a queen size bed, morning sun and stunning views over the Wither Hills and surrounding vineyards.

The Maritime Room

This is a large upstairs room with twin single beds. The room gets all day sun and has extensive views over the Marlborough region, with views of Cook Strait and the North Island on a clear day.

The Meals

Breakfast, lunch, dinner  and morning and afternoon teas are all provided and are served in the large kitchen/dining area. The food is mostly sourced from a local high quality catering company and fresh local produce is utilised where possible. Special dietary needs are able to be catered for with advance notice.

 

The Property

There is a separate lounge area with an open fire for relaxing in the evening as well as plenty of outdoor seating. You are free to walk about the farm to interact with the animals, to enjoy the 360 degree views of the surrounding region and to enjoy the stunning sunsets and night sky.
